Get the most out of OpenDay's interactive live shopping experience. This guide shows you how to watch streams, interact with sellers, participate in chat, and take advantage of live-only deals.

Finding Streams

You can find streams in three ways:


  • Currently Live:
    • Homepage: See all streams happening right now.
    • Live Page: A dedicated page to filter and sort all active streams by category, viewer count, or start time.
    • Category Pages: Find live streams for specific niches.
  • Scheduled Streams:
    • Set Reminders: Click "Notify Me" on an upcoming stream to get an alert before it starts.
    • Follow Sellers: Follow your favorite shops to be notified automatically when they go live.
  • Past Streams (Recordings):
    • Find recordings on a seller's shop page or on product pages.
    • Watch anytime and use timestamps (if available) to find specific products.

The Stream Player Interface

  • Player Controls: You'll find standard controls for Play/Pause, Volume, Full Screen, and Picture-in-Picture (on supported browsers).
  • Live Indicator: A 🔴 LIVE   badge, viewer count, and stream duration confirm the stream is active.
  • Video Quality: Stream quality (up to 1080p) adjusts automatically based on your internet speed to prevent buffering. For the best experience, use a stable Wi-Fi connection.

How to Interact & Shop

Using the Chat

  • Participate: Send messages, emojis, and GIFs to the seller and other viewers in real-time. You must be logged in to chat.
  • Ask Questions: This is the best way to ask about product details, sizing, or shipping.
  • Etiquette & Reporting: Be friendly, respectful, and on-topic. Do not spam, advertise, or harass others. Click the report button on a chat message to flag inappropriate behavior. Moderators may delete messages or ban disruptive users.

  • Products being shown appear in a Product Panel or as Product Cards.
  • Click a product to see details, add it to your cart, or save it to your wishlist, all without leaving the stream.

Polls and Reactions

  • Participate in polls (e.g., "Which color next?"), use reactions (hearts, likes), and join seller-run giveaways or contests in the chat.

Shopping and Checking Out

Adding to Cart

  1. When you see a product you like, click its Product Card.
  2. Select options (like size or color) and click "Add to Cart."
  3. You can continue watching or check out immediately.

Live-Only Deals

Act fast on exclusive deals offered only during the stream:


  • Flash Sales: Limited-time discounts (e.g., "30% off for the next 10 minutes!").
  • Bundle Deals: Special "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" or set pricing.
  • Viewer Exclusives: Promo codes announced only in the stream.

Checking Out

  • You can complete your purchase without missing the stream. Checkout will open in a new window or tab, allowing the stream to continue playing.
  • You can also wait until the stream ends to check out, but items in your cart are not reserved and may sell out.

Technical Troubleshooting

  • Stream Won't Load / Buffering:
    1. Refresh the page.
    2. Check your internet connection (Wi-Fi is recommended).
    3. Close other apps or browser tabs.
    4. Clear your browser cache or try a different browser.
  • No Sound:
    1. Check the volume on the video player (make sure it's not muted).
    2. Check your device's main volume.
  • Chat Not Working:
    1. You must be logged in to an account to chat.
    2. Try refreshing the page.
  • Can't Add to Cart:
    1. Make sure you have selected all required options (e.g., size, color).

  • Can I shop from multiple sellers in one stream? Streams feature one seller at a time, but you can open multiple live streams in different browser tabs to switch between them.
